Indoors and outdoors - we learn, move, grow and play!
Our extensive spaces and facilities play a vital role in creating a holistic educational experience for our students, both inside and outside the classroom. Our facilities at St John’s not only support the physical, emotional, and social development of our students but also help cultivate a sense of responsibility towards the environment.

We promote physical activity
At St John’s Lutheran Primary School, we are proud of our expansive and well-equipped outdoor facilities that provide our students with an environment that encourages creativity, physical activity, and an appreciation for the natural world. Our spacious grounds are designed to offer a range of experiences that promote both learning and play, helping to foster well-rounded development in all our students.
Purpose built spaces for every age
Our junior and senior playgrounds are thoughtfully designed to cater to the different developmental needs of students, providing age-appropriate equipment that encourages active play and social interaction.
Our playgrounds are designed to inspire creativity and exploration. One of the unique features of our school grounds is our cubby building area, where students can engage in imaginative play, teamwork, and construction activities. This space promotes social interaction and encourages children to express their creativity through building and designing their own play structures.
Encouraging Team work
For physical activity and sport we have two large ovals that provide plenty of space for games, sports, and recreational activities.
Our playing courts are well-maintained and include facilities for basketball, netball, and tennis, offering students the opportunity to practice their skills and engage in team sports.
We also have dedicated bike tracks—one for junior students and another for seniors—helping to promote outdoor physical activity and develop balance, coordination, and fitness in a safe and enjoyable way.

Engaging with God's wonderful creation
Our outdoor spaces show our strong commitment to environmental sustainability.
We actively engage students in hands-on learning through our vegetable garden, where they can gain practical knowledge about growing and caring for plants. This garden serves as an excellent educational tool, not only teaching children about where food comes from, but also instilling in them the importance of sustainability and responsible environmental practices.
Nearby, our lambs and chickens gives students an opportunity to interact with and care for animals, further deepening their understanding of life cycles and sustainability. Our orchards add a beautiful natural element to the school, providing shade, seasonal produce, and a peaceful environment for students to enjoy.
Our students will thrive in a digital world
At St John’s Lutheran Primary School, we recognize the importance of technology in modern education and are committed to providing our students with the tools and skills they need to thrive in a digital world.
Fostering creativity, critical thinking, and digital literacy
Our ICT and technology program is designed to support learning across all subjects, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and digital literacy.
A key feature of our technology resources is our one-to-one iPad program, where each student from Foundation to Year 6 is provided with their own iPad. This enables students to have personal access to a wide range of educational apps and resources, allowing them to engage with their learning in a dynamic and interactive way.
Students are responsible for the care and maintenance of their devices, which helps to develop responsibility and independence.
The iPads are used across various subjects, supporting activities such as research, collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving. The use of technology in this way enhances the learning experience, making lessons more engaging and relevant to students' lives.
We prepare the next generation to be safe online.
Cybersafety is a cornerstone of our ICT program. We understand the importance of teaching students how to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly. We educate students about the importance of protecting their personal information, respecting others online, and being mindful of the digital footprint they create.
At St John’s, we are dedicated to preparing our students for a future where technology is an integral part of their lives. Our ICT and technology program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and understanding they need to become confident and responsible digital citizens. Through a combination of personal devices, dedicated learning spaces, and a strong focus on cybersafety, we empower students to use technology as a tool for learning, creativity, and personal growth.
